Butterflies

Butterflies
Émile-Alain Séguy was one of the major influential artists of the Art Deco period.
He studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris where he became distinguished for his drawing.
His collections of drawings published between 1902-1930 feature designs and patterns for the use of artists and creators and he also published two collections of insects, the latter of which included the collection of butterflies seen here.
These butterfly prints would add a burst of colour and interest to a gallery wall or conservatory.
