ABOUT US
Weenie left the world of conservation when her two children were born, putting her hand to house renovations and interiors. Through this, her passion for art was re-ignited and the business began.
Weenie spent three years researching and sourcing art from galleries around the world and learning the art of printing and framing.
CW Artem’s collection is continuously evolving, as new pieces of art are sourced; from a single picture to statement triptychs and hallway collections.
Due to increasing demands we also now offer a bespoke service, sourcing art to perfectly compliment your walls and make them unique to you.
GICLÉE PRINTING
If you're an artist or an art collector, you may already know that Giclée fine art printing is the gold standard when it comes to producing museum-level quality prints. But what exactly is Giclée and why is it considered a superior print technology to reproduce artwork?
Firstly, whereas many traditional print technologies, such as lithography, use the classic CMYK 4-colour combination Giclée printers use up to 12 individual colours. This allows us to provide greater accuracy and depth of colour, ensuring faithful reproductions of originals. There are more vivid and saturated colours than C-Type or digital offset due to the bright pigments used to make the inks.
The other major benefit of using Giclée printing is its longevity. Due to the type of archival inks used in Gilée printing a Giclée print will outlast a lithographic print and other technologies by up to 10 times and colours will retain their brilliance.
Giclée will always cost more than the unit cost on a large litho print run but are widely accepted by art buyers, galleries and museums as archival, collectable pieces.
IN-HOUSE FRAMING
We frame all our art in-house using a range of wooden mouldings from raw timber, lacquered and hand painted to compliment each piece or art. We use either standard 3mm glass but also offer specialised art glass which is processed with special anti-reflective coatings that eliminate reflection.
