Charles Melville Scammon was a 19th-century wheelman, naturalise and author. In 1874 he wrote and fully illustrated the book ‘The Marine Mammals of the North-western Coast of North America’ which although at the time is now a valued reference.

This collection of whales which includes the California Grey, Finback, Humpback and Minke whale, would sit happily across a bathroom or bedroom wall.
