Ohara Koson was a Japanese painter and woodblock print designer of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was at the forefront of shinsaku-hanga and shin-hang art movements and was famous as a master of bird-and-flower designs.
This vibrant print is of a peacock that Koson produced using woodblock printing. This print would stand proud in a kitchen or living room.
